Soroptimsts of Federal Way presents awards at annual luncheon

Best-selling author J.A. Jance was the guest speaker at the event.

Soroptimist of Federal Way hosted its annual luncheon last Saturday at Twin Lake Golf and Country Club.

New York Times best-selling author J.A. Jance was the guest speaker.

The club honored it’s Live Your Dream award winners: Helena Haideni Ochoa Moreno, who studies biology at Highline College, and Amy M. Goo, a student at Highline College studying chemical dependency counseling.

Katrina Minton-Davis was named Soroptimist of the Year.

The club also awarded the $1,500 Nellie Fleming Endowment to Federal Way Communities in Schools for the Nellie Fleming Endowment Award for its efforts to support the community.

Soroptimists of Federal Way has monthly meetings at 6:30 p.m. the second and fourth Thursdays of the month at the Twin Lakes Golf and Country Club, 3583 SW 320th St.
