NW Global Fest: Food trucks, live music and a carnival begin at 3 p.m. June 20 and run through June 23 at 31510 20th Ave. S. at South 314th Street. Free admission. Presented by the Fiji Multi-Cultural Association of WA. Thursday will kick off with a DJ, food trucks and vendors. Beer garden and carnival will open Friday. Festival opens at noon on Saturday and Sunday. The weekend will be filled with music, dancers and performances. Highlights include Russian gypsy dancing, singing and music from Arts for Hearts at 8:30 p.m. June 21; Indian Variety Showcase and Bollywood Live Concert with Jingles at 4 p.m. June 22; and a Salsa Dance Party with La Grande Del Northwest at 5:30 p.m. June 23. PowellsWood Garden: The newly renovated PowellsWood Garden, 430 S. Dash Point Road, will re-open its doors to the public with a celebration on June 22 and 23. The garden will be open 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is $5, children 12 and under are free. Festivities include exploration of the garden’s summer color, bluegrass and harp concerts, a raffle, and refreshments in the Garden Room. On-site parking at the garden is limited and visitors are requested to take the shuttle from Sacajawea Middle School, just one-quarter of a mile east of the garden on S. Dash Point Road. The garden’s regular hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday through October. Each visitor to the garden during the re-opening celebration will be entered into a raffle for two free passes to the 2nd annual PowellsWood Storytelling Festival on Saturday, July 26. The festival is co-sponsored by the Seattle Storytellers Guild. Listen to masters perform folk tales based on real people, historical events and personal experiences. These storytellers don’t read from a book. They mesmerize audiences with engaging and emotional tales told in their own words. Visit powellswood.org.

The Supremes: “Reflections of The Supremes: A Tribute Concert” will run one night only at 8 p.m. June 29 at Centerstage Theatre, 3200 SW Dash Point Road.
