My name is Chuckie, and I need a home | Pet of the Week

Chuckie is an 8-year-old male pointer, about 56 pounds (ID #A523338). This sweet boy can be a little shy at first around new people. Once he gets to know you, however, he is very affectionate and playful. Chuckie is good on a leash and loves going for walks. He knows how to sit on command and knows “shake,” “come,” and “down.” He also takes treats gently and likes getting his ears scratched. The veterinarians at the shelter have diagnosed Chuckie with a low-grade heart murmur and an ear infection. They are treating his ear infection and don’t think the heart murmur will cause any long-term issues, but you still may want to have him checked at your vet as well. Chuckie would like to meet any current dogs in your home before being adopted. Chuckie is neutered, current on vaccinations and micro-chipped. His $100 adoption fee also includes a free visit to the veterinarian of your choice and 30 days of pet insurance through Trupanion. You can find out more about Chuckie on his Petfinder profile at https://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/37831452 and on RASKC’s website at www.kingcounty.gov/adoptapet.
