Brigadoon Elementary School will host the widely-known Matsiko Children’s Choir at 2:30 p.m. Feb. 2. The children of Matsiko sing from most of their own music and share their real testimonies of hope at every performance. Matsiko is an orphan’s choir from Uganda formed through the efforts of the International Children’s Network.

Every child in Matsiko is in the ICN sponsorship program, which provides them the opportunity to graduate through the highest university levels. Matsiko means “hope.”.

As part of the choir, these children now perform and represent the 600 million orphaned and at-risk children all around the world who are still in the desperate situation they once were in. The children of Matsiko are also some of the highest-performing children at their educational level within the entire nation of Uganda.
