Math is the word: Teen summit kicks off city’s Martin Luther King celebrations

A teen summit focusing on careers and the importance of math was held Jan. 14 at Evergreen Inn and Suites.

About 90 high school students from Federal Way attended the summit, sponsored by the Federal Way Diversity Commission as part of the city’s Martin Luther King celebrations.

Professionals representing careers such as marketing, nursing, dentistry, law and media held “fireside chats” with students. To learn more, e-mail DeBorah Little: dalittle73@msn.com.
