• Waste Management will not collect garbage or recycling on New Year’s Day (Jan. 1). Collection days falling on or after these days, will be picked up one day later than usual.

• If weather conditions prevent safe access to homes or businesses, Waste Management will immediately post and update necessary delays at wmnorthwest.com/weatherboard, announce delays to the media and notify customers by phone as needed.

• Holiday tree collection from all single-family homes, including those without yard waste service, will take place Jan. 4 through Jan. 8 on the neighborhood’s regularly scheduled garbage day.

• Holiday tree collection from all multi-family complexes is scheduled for Jan. 4 and 11. Property managers can sign up for the pick-up service by calling Waste Management at (253) 833-3333.

• Trees must be curbside by 7 a.m. If they are taller than 6 feet, they must be cut in half. Decorated or flocked trees cannot be recycled. Owners of these types of trees will be charged for garbage collection.
