Flag Day ceremony in Federal Way | Video slideshow

An annual flag day ceremony was held at 10 a.m. June 13 at the King County Weyerhaeuser Aquatic Center, 650 SW Campus Drive, Federal Way. The event featured music by The Squires Barbershop Quartet and Thomas Jefferson High School band; inspiring speakers including World War II veteran Hugh Riley; award-winning essays by local students and more. South King Fire and Rescue Color Guard and Boy Scouts Pack 477 presented the colors. Hot dogs and sodas were available. The event was presented by Soroptimist International of Federal Way and King County Council member Pete von Reichbauer.
