Oct. 25 will be the last Federal Way Farmers Market of the season.

Federal Way Farmers Market: October 25 will be the last Federal Way Farmers Market of the season. Stop by between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. at the Commons mall in Federal Way in the south parking lot along South 324th Street and Pacific Highway.

Drive-thru Recycling Event: Bring up to three mattresses or box springs and up to ten tires for recycling between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Oct. 25 to the South King Tool Library, 1700 S. 340th Place in Federal Way. Shredding will be available for documents as well.

FUSION Trunk or Treat: Join FUSION for Trunk or Treating from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 25 at the Pete Andersen Family Center located at 1505 S. 328th St. in Federal Way. The family center will also be collecting donations of shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant, soap and more for their hygiene drive at the event.

Tricks and Treats: Tricks and Treats will be held from 3 to 5:30 p.m. Oct. 25 at the Federal Way Community Center, 876 S. 333rd St. in Federal Way. This event will be a spook-tacular Halloween adventure full of haunted games and sweet treats. Fun and frights await kids of all ages in a magically eerie atmosphere. Admission is $6 for kids when you pre-register. Registration increases to $10 on the day of the event.

Trunk or Treat at the Pacific Bonsai Museum: The bonsai will be in their best fall colors for an unforgettable blend of botanical beauty and Halloween thrills from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 25. Don your best costume and join in at Pacific Bonsai Museum located at 2515 S. 336th Street in Federal Way.

Federal Way School Board Meeting: This FWPS school board meeting will take place at 6 p.m. Oct. 28 at Kilo Middle School located at 4400 S. 308th St. in Auburn.

Line Dance for the Soul: From 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Oct. 31, enjoy a movement experience rooted in joy, rhythm, and community featuring RoyalWoman. Through guided choreography, soulful music, and feel-good energy, you’ll learn a variety of line dance styles in a space that’s fun, empowering, and full of encouragement. Come to move your body, clear your mind, and honor the culture — one step at a time at the Trap Lab. located at 1646 SW Dash Point Rd., Suite A, in Federal Way.

Family Movie Night: Bring the whole family out to see “Inside Out 2” for Family Movie Night from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Nov. 7 at the Dumas Bay Centre’s Knutzen Theater. located at 3200 SW Dash Point Rd. Dress as your favorite emotion and enjoy free popcorn at this indoor family movie night that costs $2 per person.

Fall Foliage Festival and Plant Sale: Enjoy a rainbow of colors and bushels of fun at the Rhododendron Species Botanical Garden’s Fall Foliage Festival and Plant Sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 8 and Nov. 9 at the Rhododendron Species Botanical Garden, 2525 S. 336th St., Federal Way. Dig into a savory dish from a food truck before heading to the gift shop for unique garden gifts or peruse the books in the Visitor Center to learn about the beloved Rhododendron species and the natural history of the Pacific Northwest.

Wellness Fair: The Federal Way Senior Center is hosting a wellness fair from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Nov. 13 that will feature topics around health, wellness, wealth and also feature raffle prizes. The center is located at 4016 S. 352nd St. in Auburn.

Cops vs. Ballers: Join the Federal Way Police Department (FWPD) as officers go head-to-head with students from local high schools in the COPS vs. BALLERS Basketball Game at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 14 in the Thomas Jefferson High School (TJHS) gym located at 4248 S. 288th St. in Auburn. Entry is free, and the night will be packed with excitement, including raffle prizes and good vibes. Proceeds go directly to support the TJHS basketball program.

Plantapalooza: A community planting event in partnership with the Washington Native Plant Society is coming up from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 15. Spend the day restoring native habitat, learning from plant experts, and connecting with neighbors while giving back to the environment. The event will take place at two locations at Steel Lake Annex located at 2645 S. 312th St. in Federal Way and at Celebration Park 1095 S. 324th Street in Federal Way. Please bring water, sturdy shoes, gloves, and dress for the weather.

Federal Way School Board Meeting: This FWPS School Board meeting will take place at 6 p.m. Nov. 18 at Enterprise Elementary located at 35101 5th Ave. SW in Federal Way.

Winter Bonsai Solstice: On Dec. 13, join the Pacific Bonsai Museum for a dreamy evening to remember as we illuminate our world-renowned collection with soft holiday lights for our annual Winter Bonsai Solstice. Come for an evening stroll to take in beautiful bonsai twinkling in an array of lights while you sip free hot chocolate to stay warm. This is a family-friendly, community-favorite tradition that warmly embraces the generous spirit of the holidays. Suggested donation: $12 for adults. No reservations or advance tickets are needed.
