Best of Federal Way 2024 celebration: Join the Mirror at our annual celebration of the best restaurants, businesses, volunteers and more and meet local vendors on March 6 at the Federal Way Community Center, 876 South 336th Street, Federal Way. Booths open at 5:30 p.m. for mixing and mingling, and award presentation and prize drawings will start at 6:45 p.m. After the event, readers can look for a special section inside the print edition of the Federal Way Mirror for a list of this year’s winners.

Town Hall Meeting: Join Mayor Jim Ferrell and members of the city staff for a neighborhood connection town hall meeting at Olympic View Elementary School. March 7 at 6 p.m. in the Common Room. Olympic View is located at 2626 Southwest 327th Street in Federal Way.

FWPS Board Meeting: Join the School Board for a meeting via Zoom or in person at 6 p.m. March 12 at Nautilus K-8 located at 1000 S 289th St, Federal Way, WA 98003.

Inspired clutter clearing: Join clutter clearing coach Denise Frakes to learn ways to find inspiration in cleaning your home. Irish flag-raising ceremony: Celebrate St Patrick’s Day and join the city for a raising of the Irish flag at 9 a.m. on March 15 at City Hall.

Hot off the presses: The Federal Way Mirror invites you to join the paper from 1-2:30 p.m. March 19 at Poverty Bay Café for informal conversation and coffee. You’ll be able to ask the newspaper staff about their work or talk about issues affecting the region, such as homelessness, addiction and development, all while supporting a local business and the work of nonprofit FUSION to serve families in need. Senior Commission Connection: Join the Senior Commission at the Federal Way Community Center to hear about community resources and events and connect with other seniors in Federal Way. Event is March 20 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Senior Lounge.

Federal Way Iftar Dinner for Christians and Muslims: A dinner for Christians and Muslims to make friends and have meaningful conversation about life’s biggest questions. Friday, March 22 at 7 p.m. at 1636 South 330th Street, Federal Way. Dinner will be served at sunset (7:27 p.m.) and will be free and halal. Hosted by Veritas Bible Church and The Al-Ma’idah Initiative.

March of Diapers Drive: Saturday, March 23, at Twin Lakes Fred Meyer from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The effort, hosted annually by local nonprofit Do The Right Thing, distributes baby and adult hygiene products to nearly two dozen organizations and nonprofits across the region, helping keep families stocked.

70th Anniversary for the Federal Way Lions Club: To celebrate with them, join them on March 23 at the Golden Spoon Buffet and Banquet located at 1816 S. 320th St., Federal Way.
