Annual Kid’s Day slated for Aug. 7 at Steel Lake Park

Steel Lake Park will host the city’s 11th Annual Kid’s Day from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7. The free event offers a variety of games, activities, arts and crafts and live music. Here’s the full schedule:

• All day long: Sandcastle building, Chalk It Up, arts and crafts, inflatable bouncer slide

• 2-3 p.m.: Federal Way Summer Day Camp Preferences

• 4:30-5 p.m.: Competitive games

• 5-5:30 p.m.: Master Na’s Blackbelt Academy

• 5:30-6:30 p.m.: Buck and Elizabeth

Performers include: KW Dance Studio Presents “Petra and the Wolf,” DS9 Dance Studio and others.

The city notes that King County Health will also be on-site, providing free car seat safety checks from 2 to 5 p.m.
