Was police officer negligent? | Federal Way letters

Published 7:38 pm Wednesday, December 29, 2010

In defense of the Federal Way Police Department, and especially Officer Andy Hensing, I take exception with the daughters of Baerbel Roznowski saying the police were negligent and seem to lack even the most basic training in domestic violence.

The call that this officer went on was not for “domestic violence,” but “anti-harassment.” The judge gave the wrong instructions to the jury, by calling it “domestic violence,” and there is a difference. So in essence, the judge is the wrong person, not the officer. Officer Hensing did his job, but not the judge in this case.
