Vote no on pot shops

Many cities who have retail stores have learned the costs of crime from legalization is trumping any profit.

No, Mr Roegner, Sharry Edwards has not, as you surmised in your Oct. 18 column, “adopted some of Jim Ferrell’s conservative views” – specifically her position on pot shops in Federal Way. Their shared view is not a “conservative party view,” a “liberal party view” – nor an “independent party view.” Sharry Edwards and Mayor Jim Ferrell are merely using their brains. It’s called a “common sense” view. You should try it sometime – it’s liberating.

I must add: The Legislature did us common sense thinkers no favors when they legalized marijuana in this state. It’s called, “greed.” The shame of it all? Many cities who have retail stores, for the most part, have learned the costs of crime from legalization is trumping any profit; more incidents of marijuana are found in schools, more DUI’s from pot use. And, the illegal sales of marijuana are still happening right here in Federal Way.

Vote no on pot shops.
