Twin Lakes vs. my fixed income | Federal Way letters
Published 11:39 am Tuesday, January 12, 2010
I am a widower over age 80 on a fixed income. No more Social Security COLAs, no more extra income from my retirement source. My city, county and state all have money shortages. My property tax has promise of an increase coming up as are our natural gas bills. I get letters every day needing help with the American Heart Association, Feed the Children, Veterans of Foreign Wars and two or three others. My church needs help for some maintenance problems, and darn it, I can’t help any of them because I have a golf course to help out. Today, I got a letter from the chairman/CEO of the national committee to preserve Social Security and Medicare, and Barbara said they really need me to help this problem. So I must drop her a note and say I can’t help because I have to help all of us at Twin Lakes Homeowners Association save the golf course.
Sincerely, a Twin Lakes homeowner of 24 years,
G.B Ristine, Federal Way
