Rep. Freeman is a leader for all | Letter of the Week

I am strong supporter of re-electing Rep. Roger Freeman to the House of Representatives in the 30th Legislative District. I’ve known Roger and his family for a number of years.

I am strong supporter of re-electing Rep. Roger Freeman to the House of Representatives in the 30th Legislative District. I’ve known Roger and his family for a number of years.

He’s a strong and wonderful family man and leader for his family as well as for the people he serves. I was a supporter and active participant in both his campaigns for state representative and City Council.

Some of Roger’s legislative accomplishments include securing job-creation money to help build the Performing Arts and Conference Center in Federal Way’s downtown business core, a Community Center in Algona for senior and youth programs, important repairs to the Senior/Activity Center and Police Department in Milton, and important updates to Triangle Park to assist people with disabilities.

Supporting first responders has also been a major focus for Freeman. Last session, he passed legislation to ensure firefighters and police officers who are catastrophically injured in the line of duty receive the necessary ongoing medical treatment that they deserve and this session he is working for tough new penalties for drivers who put the public at risk by eluding police.

Roger is a leader for all. He understands our issues. He has even had his own challenges over the past year but that has not stopped him from going to Legislature to keep promises that he made and to pay his supporters back 10-fold by working hard and standing up for the people.

As a strong supporter, I strongly recommend that we re-elect Roger Freeman based on his outstanding service and on his commitment to do the right thing.
