I have known Mark Koppang for over 20 years and have always admired his work ethic, his ambition and his integrity.

Mark is a leader. He started a volunteer program from the ground up and when he stepped down from leadership after six years, there were over 100 people involved.

Mark thinks strategically. Serving on the board of Life Academy, a private school, he recognized the limitations of their location and spearheaded the move to Federal Way where it has operated successfully for the last 15 years.

Mark cares. He has mentored countless young adults helping them with personal goal setting in their respective careers and personal development. He and his wife have also done pre-marriage counseling for numerous couples. This, along with his consistent volunteerism for Habitat for Humanity’s Westway neighborhood project where they have renovated approximately 15 homes, shows me that he not only talks about improving our community but he willingly puts forth effort to get the job done.

Mark is the kind of leader we need to transform Federal Way into a community of prosperity and influence.
