Leaders look away as airport runs amok | Letter

You can check the crime that is going on in these communities, as well as the increasing crime in the small community of Des Moines – the next small city on the Port of Seattle and the FAA’s “hit list.” This will continue to move south into Federal Way city limits.

Last fall, I wrote a lengthy letter to the Federal Way Mirror about the Port of Seattle, and especially about the SeaTac airport, and the plans they have in place to destroy more small communities that are not protected by any “high-ranking” politicians. I also pointed out that the Port of Seattle, in their quest to continue to enlarge this major airport, decided to turn several low-income/family-friendly communities, like Boulevard Park, Riverton Heights, and the City of SeaTac, into “Jet Ghettos.”

If you don’t already know, the SeaTac airport is continuing to build an international terminal north of the main terminal. This continued building is ongoing and will not stop, because the Port of Seattle has too many politicians in their pockets, so they are untouchable. Also, they like to blame the FAA about the ascending and descending of aircraft in and out of SeaTac. They do not want an auxiliary airport out of King County because they would lose too much money.

So, in closing, fellow Federal Way citizens, you need to make sure who you vote for in your districts, because we don’t have decent representation to save our neighborhoods against the Port of Seattle and the FAA.
