We the people, who live in and around our beautiful Steel Lake: We the people of Federal Way do not want a freeway access to I-5 — nor a five-lane road running through our beloved park. We have enough destruction of our lands and our trees. We are tired of trees being cut and concrete being cast in the name of progress. Enough is enough.

You, our elected officials: Our mayor and council better listen to “We the people.” Find a different access alternative. Once you have an “up” decision on this proposal and the destruction of all this beauty begins, there will be no fixing it. It will be gone forever.

If you, our mayor and your six other voices decide to go forth with this “City Center Access” proposal, then we the people will surely cast you aside as our elected officials.
