Federal Way Councilman supports Mark Miloscia | Letter

I am a Democrat. I’ve been a Democrat since I first became interested in politics back in high school.

I am a Democrat. I’ve been a Democrat since I first became interested in politics back in high school.

You see, I am a Democrat because I believe in helping the most vulnerable, ending homelessness, taking care of our environment by investing in renewable energy, making sure that our youth have a shot at the American Dream by making higher education affordable, ending the death penalty, supporting major campaign finance reform and lastly, I support marriage equality.

I’ve been active in the Democratic Party and have worked hard to elect Democrats. I’ve been a precinct committee officer and have held leadership positions within the Democratic Party.

Last year, I ran to be your partner on the Federal Way City Council. I was open with you and shared with you that I am a Democrat but will be independent because that is what works best for our community.

As I have learned over the last several months, I am a Councilman for all residents, including Democrats, Republicans, Independents and everyone else. My focus is to ensure that we elect people that have Federal Way in their best interest and be able to deliver for our city. We have many important developments and we must elect leaders that will deliver for our city so that we can continue to move forward.

I am voting for Mark Miloscia for state Senate because he has delivered for Federal Way for 14 years. Mark has had a 91 percent labor voting record, 82 percent environmental voting record, 82 percent state employee voting record, wrote laws to make all counties come up with a plan to end homelessness within 10 years and lastly, Mark has been recognized countless times by housing organizations for being a champion for affordable housing.

I have absolutely no doubt that Mark will be an effective senator who will govern from the middle, while moving forward on our needs as a city.

Please vote for Mark Miloscia to be our senator!

Martin Moore, Federal Way Councilman
