Fantastic Twin Lakes ‘benefits agreement’ | Federal Way letters

Array

The Twin Lakes “benefit agreement” is fantastic.

I love it when people who will not pay a dime extra in homeowners dues tell me (and everyone else) what a great deal and bargin it is to pay an additional $300 a year in homeowners dues.

According to the letter from the Twin Lakes Golf and Country Club president in the November issue of the Twin Lakes newsletter, the owners that live on the golf course and the golfing members would have an increase of $25/month ($300/year) in their homeowners dues, but the golf club would “provide you with a monthly credit of $25.” So in other words, the cost of this “benefit agreement” to the people who live adjacent to the golf course and golfing members is $0.

Two of the three authors who recently wrote letters supporting the Twin Lakes “benefit agreement” live on the golf course, which means they won’t pay more in homeowners dues under the “benefit agreement” than they currently pay.

But it gets better. These same people who don’t receive an increase in homeowners dues get to vote for an increase in dues for people like me who do not live on the golf course. Isn’t that fantastic?

Maybe I could contact the state and city governments and work out a similar deal. I will promise to vote to support any and all increases in wages and services as long as I don’t receive an increase in my taxes. (Which my neighbors can pay for.)
