Karen Backman’s letter regarding Frank Shiers’s cartoon had the appearance of objectivity until her last paragraph. Could she not resist that unnecessary cheap shot at Republicans?

Karen Backman’s letter regarding Frank Shiers’s cartoon had the appearance of objectivity until her last paragraph. Could she not resist that unnecessary cheap shot at Republicans?

Does she not not realize that demonizing her political opposites undermines her own credibility? As an unapologetic Democrat, how does she justify the trillions of dollars of debt to which her party has consigned to the rest of us in the last four years? Inquiring minds have a right to know.

Perhaps she will write a follow-up letter justifying the fiscal hole we are in. Many of us are deeply concerned about our country’s financial future.

We must be Republicans.
