We wish to express our strong endorsement of Jeanne Burbidge for re-election to the Federal Way City Council. The criteria in a candidate that we hold dear are integrity, dedication, sincerity and experience. These qualities are found in Jeanne.

Jeanne has earned the respect of her peers and everyone who has had an opportunity to meet or work with her in Federal Way, its surrounding communities, in the county, state, and all levels of government. Respect is fundamentally important when dealing with issues of public interest such as transportation, job creation and public safety.

We have known Jeanne for over 20 years and have noticed that she avoids the pettiness of politics and never speaks disrespectfully of anyone, not even an opponent. Jeanne takes the time to listen to your concerns, to respond to your questions, and to address any issues with sincerity. As one friend recently stated, “Jeanne has the heart of a servant.”

Jeanne’s experience and her knowledge of this city and all of its various attributes are essential to our community, particularly given the fact that the several of our current city council have served less than a full term in office. Jeanne’s experience is invaluable because governing a city is not about a single issue. Governance requires addressing a complexity of issues. Jeanne Burbidge knows the issues, understands them, and addresses them with a calm dignity that we have come to respect. We urge our fellow citizens to re-elect this dedicated public servant.
