When we were moving into South King County in 1972, we were advised not to buy in Federal Way (school board in turmoil, “negative forces” prevailing). But we did, and have watched as Federal Way moved from being an unincorporated area to a large city.

It’s been disappointing to see party politics play such a large role in local “non-partisan” races. Through all of this, Jeanne Burbidge has remained an independent voice, advocating for a strong community and positive outcomes. I support Jeanne and hope readers of this letter will as well.
