• Lindy Lou’s Coffee and Deli owners Tammy and Michael Dziak recently added a second operation, Lindy Lou’s … Too, located westerly down 320th Street where it intersects with Hoyt Road.
The new structure, shaped like a coffeepot, features two drive-through sides. Handcrafted espresso, smoothies and other beverages are available as well as quick breakfast and lunch fare.
The couple’s first operation, the coffee bar and deli, opened in January and is located on the corner of Pacific Highway South and 348th Street. In addition to espresso and other beverages, it offers expanded breakfast and lunch menus for take out, delivery or eating inside the deli’s friendly, comfortable atmosphere.
The Dziaks have been Federal Way residents for 19 years. Their coffee bar and deli operations employ six to eight people total. Catering services are also offered. The couple donates a portion of business proceeds to Best Friends Animal Society.
• Moe’s Home Collection opened a store in The Crossings shopping center, 35025 Enchanted Parkway S., with 14 employees. Federal Way resident David Puszczewicz is manager of the furniture store, which carries contemporary pieces with an Asian flair. The company designs and manufactures the furniture.
To help a more sustainable future, the company incorporates reclaimed wood beams into its furniture and offers antiques as a decorative accent. Also, the company uses a quickly growing renewable resource, bamboo, in some pieces.
Moe’s started 16 years ago as a furniture wholesaler before entering the market as a retailer.
• Trotter and Morton Facilities Services of Washington Inc., a mechanical service contractor for commercial heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), has opened an office at 33749 9th Ave. S. with five employees.
As a Linc Service Contractor, the company delivers guaranteed, preventive maintenance programs as well as repairs and retrofits, tenant improvement work and bundled energy solutions to the commercial market, explained Cosette Gibson-Pfaff, general manager for the Trotter and Morton Federal Way office. Gibson-Pfaff previously managed sales and customer service for another HVAC company, located in Seattle.
The Federal Way Trotter and Morton office is the fifth location for the company, which also has offices in Calgary, Alberta; Vancouver, B.C.; Kansas City, Kan.; and San Antonio, Texas. The company was founded in 1927.
• “Life After Debt: Learn About Managing Debt Efficiently” will be presented by Waddell and Reed’s Jason Siem, a financial advisor, from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, at the Black Bear Diner, 32065 Pacific Highway S.
