Anthony “Tony” Charles Phaneuf
September 10, 1971-March 3, 2026
Tony passed away suddenly at his home in Federal Way, WA.
“Top Tony” (as known by many friends), was a graduate of Decatur High school, class of ’90. Tony had a keen interest in mechanics, which was demonstrated in High school in which he rebuilt his first motor on his ‘76 Firebird. Tony was employed for 8 years at Kenworth/PACCAR, for which he worked at both the Seattle and Renton plants. Tony got on as an Apprentice with Local 32 in 2009. Upon completion of the Apprenticeship program, he attained the level of Journeyman Plumber in 2009. Tony was proud to have worked on many different projects within the Washington region along with his fellow work members.
Tony enjoyed live music, motorcycling, fishing, and doing various home/car projects.
Tony will forever be remembered for his constant willingness to assist others with their mechanical/plumbing issues. Tony had an infectious quick wit, marked by sharp, observational humor, which often lead to kindhearted “burns” to those in his immediate company.
Tony is preceded in death by his father, Daniel C. Phaneuf. Tony is survived by his mother Elsa Phaneuf, sister Aida, brother Robert, and numerous relatives.
