Family Prom: A Night to Believe in Magic! This annual family dance will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Feb. 28 at the Federal Way Community Center, 876 South 333rd Street in Federal Way. This enchanted night is made for children and their favorite grown-ups to dance, laugh, and create memories that will last happily ever.

Kanta Kada Panalo: Coming up starting at 4 p.m. Feb. 28, Kanta Kada Panalo is back at Island Pacific Federal Way. Enjoy bingo games, live music, and a chance to win a Philippine Airlines ticket all in one fun-filled event. The evening will feature special guest Roger Rigor and is hosted by G-Tongi. Bricks and Minifigs Anniversary Celebration: Join local family-owned business Bricks and Minifigs to celebrate their first year open all day on Feb. 28 and March 1. They’ll be offering door prizes, fun deals, cake and more. The store is open 1414 South 324th St., Suite B 201, in Federal Way.

Mariachi Herencia de México: Experience a new generation of mariachi music at this upcoming concert at 4 p.m. March 1 at the Federal Way Performing Arts and Event Center located at 31510 Pete von Reichbauer Way S.

FW City Council meeting: Federal Way City Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. March 3 at City Hall on the second floor in Council Chambers, 33325 8th Ave. S. in Federal Way.

Restoration Work Party: Join the WNPS Master Native Plant Stewards every first Friday at Celebration Park, located at S. 324th Street in Federal Way, for a restoration work party. Two management units in Celebration Park will highlight native plants and healthy urban forests in this busy park central to the city. The next work party is coming up at 1 p.m. March 6.

Puget Sound Energy Library Pop-Up: Get a free meal and weatherization kit and learn ways to save energy in your home, lower energy bills, transition to clean energy and more at this event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 7 at the library located at 34200 1st Way S in Federal Way.

Sondheim/Stravinsky Performance: This concert at 3:30 p.m. March 8 will celebrate innovation through the music of Sondheim and Stravinsky. This show is a co-production between the Federal Way Symphony and Centerstage Theatre and will be performed at the Federal Way PAEC, located at 31510 Pete von Reichbauer Way S.

Celebrate Women’s Day: From 12 to 4 p.m. March 8 at Todd Beamer High School, located at 3599 16th Ave. S. in Federal Way, join Phenomenal She for a wellness fair that will feature local vendors as well as ticketed experiences available for purchase including access to wellness workshops, meditation and sound bath, fitness classes, and more. This is a fundraising event for the nonprofit whose mission is to build confidence in education, social awareness, and self-esteem for BIPOC girls and young women ages 12 to 24.

Pink Floyd’s “The Wall”: The Black Jacket Symphony presents an unforgettable concert at 7:30 p.m. March 10 at the Federal Way PAEC, located at 31510 Pete von Reichbauer Way S.

Hot off the Presses: The Federal Way Mirror invites you to join the staff from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, at Poverty Bay Café for informal conversation, coffee, beer, wine and appetizers. Attendees can ask the newspaper staff about their work or talk about issues affecting the region, such as homelessness, addiction and development, all while supporting a local business and the work of nonprofit FUSION to serve families in need. Each event features a community speaker on a topic/organization important to the Federal Way community. Poverty Bay Café is located at 1108 S. 322nd Place in Federal Way, north of Celebration Park.

Blood drive: Book an appointment between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. to donate blood on Thursday, March 12, at the Federal Way Library located at 34200 1st Way S in Federal Way. Head to BloodworksNW.org/GiveBlood to secure your time.

Voctave: A Cappella sensation Voctave’s 11-member vocal ensemble brings incredible harmonies to favorites from the Disney screen to the Broadway stage. They are performing at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 12, at the Federal Way PAEC located at 31510 Pete von Reichbauer Way S.

Grand Kyiv Ballet presents Don Quixote: A celebration of dance, passion, and fearless romance is coming to Federal Way at 7 p.m. March 13 at the Federal Way PAEC, located at 31510 Pete von Reichbauer Way S. Step into the sun-drenched world of Spain, filled with fiery rhythms, dazzling choreography, and irresistible energy.

Free Blueberry Pruning Seminar: From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 14 at the Hylebos Blueberry Farm Park, 630 S. 356th St. in Federal Way. Participants will receive instructions and an opportunity for some hands-on practice and one-on-one guidance. Everyone is welcome, bring your favorite tools. Extra tools and snacks will be provided.

World Relief Women’s Sewing Class: Volunteer Orientation at 12:30 p.m. March 22 at Brooklake Church. This is a place for immigrant and refugee neighbors to practice English, develop friendships and learn valuable skills. Class volunteers will be able to support language acquisition, teach basic sewing techniques and build relationships.

Rhythm of Dance: Celebrate the spirit of Ireland with Rhythm of the Dance, the international sensation that has dazzled over 7 million fans across 50 countries at this event at 7 p.m. March 24 at the Federal Way PAEC, located at 31510 Pete von Reichbauer Way S.

Senior Commission Connection: Join the Senior Advisory Commission and special guests from the Marine Hills Garden Club at 11:30 a.m. March 25 for a light lunch and conversation. This free event will take place at the Federal Way Community Center, 876 S. 333rd St.

FWPS STEAM Exploration Night 2026: Families of Federal Way are invited to the ninth annual Federal Way Public Schools STEAM Exploration Night from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. March 26. This year’s theme is Full STEAM Ahead and you’ll be able to learn how you can use STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) to fuel imagination and innovation toward a bright future.

Free Fix-It Event: Join the city of Federal Way and the South King Tool Library for a free Repair Café from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 28. Bring your damaged furniture, broken small household items, dull knives, and torn clothing. Our fixers will do their best to make your items usable again. Plan to stay during the repair, bring any manual/parts that may help, and be aware there is a limit of only three items for sharpening. The South King Tool Library is located at 1700 S. 340th St.

Uniting the divided community: The Rotary Club of Federal Way is hosting a leadership forum centered on a movie screening and discussion over dinner on Thursday, April 2. The documentary is titled “Join or Die” and focuses on how to rejuvenate civic life through clubs and community organizations. This will be a working session for leaders to explore concrete steps to bring the community of Federal Way together. Local leaders can request an invitation by emailing rotaryfederalway@gmail.com.

Park Appreciation Day: Join in for the annual Park Appreciation Day. Free lunch. Bring your water bottle, work gloves, and a friend! 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 18, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Hylebos Blueberry Farm Park, located at 630 S. 356th St. in Federal Way.

Celebrate Centerstage 2026: On May 2, join Centerstage Theatre for an evening celebrating the accomplishments of the past year and discovering what is in store for the future. The evening will include live entertainment and more.

Arts Explosion: The Federal Way Arts Commission is hosting the 4th Annual “Arts Explosion” Juried Art Show Festival, taking place from May 29 to May 31 at the Performing Arts and Events Center. This festival will celebrate the diversity of Federal Way, showcasing the talents of both adult and youth artists, while promoting artistic growth and community engagement. “Arts Explosion” will feature the display, judging, and sale of artwork in five categories. Seniors Night Out: From 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. June 5, enjoy an evening of live music, dinner and dancing for those 50 and older at the Federal Way Community Center, located at 876 S 333rd St. in Federal Way. The event will include a pasta dinner provided by Village Green Senior Living and will include dance tutorials by Arthur Murray dance company. Tickets are available at itallhappenshere.org/seniors.
