I want the people of Federal Way to know why I view Roger Flygare as a strong candidate to be appointed to the Federal Way City Council.
I have known Roger for some time and he honestly, actively participates in discussion and he listens to what people, like me, have to say that may disagree with his political affiliations.
Flygare is a Vietnam veteran, currently the service officer for VFW Post 1741. He works with individuals suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, which led to opening a veterans outreach center at a local college. Most recently, Flygare was elected to be the commanding general (president) of the Association of Washington Generals, where he has been a member since 1997.
For over 30 years, Flygare has been a successful entrepreneur and business owner with offices currently in Federal Way.
His knowledge and business acumen will be critical assets to the city in regard to upcoming decisions impacting small businesses. With his contacts in business, he expects to provide outreach throughout the state which will be a huge asset to Federal Way.
Flygare also worked with City Hall to encourage Comcast to bring in business quality services to his business park. Roger continues to be a solid supporter of our fire and police departments working to protect our streets and homes. These are some of the reasons I urge the city of Federal Way to consider Roger Flygare for appointment to the City Council.
