On Sept. 2, a shooting sent a man to the hospital, leaving him in critical condition, but he is expected to survive.
According to Federal Way Police Department Cmdr. Kyle Buchanan, at 8:55 a.m. Sept. 2 near South 312th Street and 10th Avenue South, officers responded to a report of a shooting. Responding officers located a 31-year-old male victim with gunshot wounds at the scene.
“Officers, along with emergency medical personnel, immediately provided first aid before the victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for further treatment,” Buchanan said. “The victim is currently in critical condition but is expected to survive.”
Buchanan said the suspect in the shooting is a 56-year-old male who is reported to be a roommate of the man who was shot. Buchanan said officers arrested the suspect at his residence.
Buchanan said detectives will be interviewing the suspect to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Buchanan said at this moment, the motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
