Priest: Best choice for mayor | Federal Way letters

Like me, many people in Federal Way have volunteered to work on community projects and found that Skip Priest was there too lending a hand. He didn’t do it for recognition; he didn’t start doing this when he decided to run for mayor; he always just did it.

At a time when our mayor should be demonstrating the best side of our city, making community ties stronger and working to attract more business to Federal Way, Skip is our best choice. He has been a successful Federal Way mayor before and was able to work well with the rest of the elected council members.

He is already familiar with local and regional officials and when questioned at the debate, even presented a quick three-part plan of specifics he would enact to further Federal Way’s economic development. I like someone who actually answers questions.

We are going to have an elected mayor who is supposed to represent the best of Federal Way. That person must know the needs of both our community and region and be able to work with others to solve them. Skip is the best choice for that mayor.
