Thomas Jefferson High School sophomore Brayden McVey, basketball, is the Federal Way Mirror Male Athlete of the Week for March 3.

Q: What is your favorite subject/class in school?

A: Chemistry.

Q: What hobbies do you enjoy outside of your sport?

A: Video games.

Q: Who is the person in your life that has helped you succeed the most?

A: My Dad.

Q: What is the best advice you’ve received when it comes to your sport?

A: “If you son’t believe in yourself, no one will do it for you.”

Q: Describe your pre-game ritual and favorite post-game meal:

A: Pre: Sleeping in the locker room. Post: Red Robin.

Q: Song you currently can’t stop listening to?

A: “Mr. Hanky” by BabyTron.

From the sidelines: TJHS sophomore Brayden McVey was given honorable mention this year for the 3A North Puget Sound League. He averaged 11.2 points per game this season and 4.5 rebounds.
