Community members throughout Federal Way enjoyed National Night Out on Aug. 2. The nationwide event is hosted to enhance relationships between law enforcement agencies and the communities they serve.

Federal Way Police Chief Andy Hwang and Mayor Jim Ferrell visit several neighborhood events on Tuesday night. Deputy Mayor Susan Honda and Federal Way City Councilmember Jack Walsh also attended community National Night Out locations across the city.

South King Fire and Rescue crews and Federal Way Police Department officers visited neighborhoods throughout Federal Way, allowing families to tour their police vehciles and fire engines. Sticker badges were also handed out by the dozens.

Events were held at View Cliff, Light of Christ Community Garden, Alderbrook, Cedardale Apartments, Westbury, High Point Park, Maplewood Condos, Campus View Apartments, Bellacarino Woods, West Hylebos, Wynstone, Mountain View Estates, William J. Wood Veterans House, Birchwood Village, Evergreen Estates, Marlbrook, Westhampton Apartments, Glen Park Apartments, Uptown Square Apartments and Quiet Forest.
