Thomas Jefferson High School junior Caley Buchan, tennis, was selected as the Federal Way Mirror Female Athlete of the Week for April 22.

Q: What is your favorite subject/class in school?

A: Math.

Q: What additional activities/hobbies do you enjoy?

A: Reading, writing and tennis.

Q: Person who has helped you succeed the most?

A: My aunt, Laura Rosa.

Q: What is the best advice you’ve been given when it comes to your sport?

A: The best thing you can get from tennis is winning. The second best thing you can get is losing.

Q: Describe your pre-game ritual:

A: Drinking lots of water.

Q: What’s your favorite post-game meal?

A: Orange chicken and rice.

Q: Song you currently can’t stop listening to?

A: “Dreaming” by Smallpools.
