Federal Way residents enjoyed the post-Christmas snowfall on Sunday.

According to the National Weather Service, Federal Way saw approximately 3 inches of snow on Dec. 26. This week, freezing temperatures are expected to last through Thursday, Dec. 30.

People and pets of all ages bundled up and took on the cold to sled, making snowmen, and take walks around their winter wonderland.

As of Dec. 27, City of Federal Way crews have been applying salt and plowing streets for the past 30 hours. Road conditions in Federal Way range from bare and wet to packed snow and ice.

Crews have started salting and plowing secondary routes, but will move back to primary routes as needed, according to the City of Federal Way.
