Following is a sample from the Federal Way police log:

• Flasher on BPA trail: At 2:16 p.m. Sept. 6 in the 1000 block of South 324th St, a mentally ill man was caught exposing himself to passersby on the BPA Trail. The man was returned to his caregiver, who assured police this would not happen in the future.

• Coming down off his crack high: At 11:52 p.m. Sept. 6 in the 1800 block of South 282nd Place, police responded to reports of a verbal domestic dispute. According to the report, the argument was between an older and a younger man. The older man refused to disclose what the argument was about, but the younger man indicated the argument happened because the older man was “coming down off his crack high.”

• Assaulted with air freshener?: At 1:56 p.m. Sept. 7 in the 3400 block of SW 320th Street, an ex-employee of a business reported to police that he had been assaulted by his ex-boss. According to the report, the man indicated his ex-boss had sprayed him in the eyes with air freshener. Police contacted the boss, who denied the charge, and explained the situation regarding the man. The report notes the responding officer was unable to determine that a crime had occurred.

• Lewd customer: At 4:51 p.m. Sept. 7 in the 31000 block of Pacific Highway South, an employee of a store reported that she’s been sexually harassed by a regular customer for approximately a month. The most recent incident involved the customer flashing his buttocks at her. The report noted that loss prevention officers at the store were aware of the situation and would be helping out.

• Always those exes: At 8:17 p.m. Sept. 7 in the 1700 block of South 281st Place, a man reported his apartment had been burglarized and that five of his fish had been killed. The man believed his ex-girlfriend was responsible, but could not provide any evidence to support his claim.

• Drunk man given a couple of chances, still screws up: At 11:52 p.m. Sept. 7 in the 35000 block of 21st Avenue SW, a man was kicked out of a bar, per the bar’s request. Police located the man at a bar across the street, intoxicated and still drinking. The man was given a trespass notice for the previous bar, and left the second bar on foot. Shortly thereafter, the man was observed returning to the second bar and getting into his vehicle. The man was promptly arrested for DUI.

• Vehicle prowler scores big: At 12:05 a.m. Sept. 6 in the 31000 block of Gateway Center Blvd. S., two vehicles were broken into, and approximately $2,500 in personal electronics were taken by the unknown suspect.

• Times are rough: At 10:33 a.m. Sept. 6 in the 31000 block of Pacific Highway South, the suspect was observed attempting to steal a package of Huggies diapers. The suspect was cited for shoplifting and released.

• Expired tabs nab another: At 8:33 a.m. Sept. 5 in the 1800 block of South 330th Street, police pulled over a vehicle for expired tabs. A check of the vehicle’s occupants showed a no-contact order between them. The driver of the vehicle was arrested for violating the order.

• Don’t give your debit card to people you only know by one name: At 9:08 a.m. Sept. 5 in an undisclosed location, a woman reported that she gave her ATM/debit card to a man she only knew as “King.” Shortly after handing her card over, a number of unauthorized transactions were recorded on her account.
