Honda’s arguments for being mayor unimpressive | Letter

I just read Susan Honda’s announcement that she now wants to be the mayor. I seem to remember that Honda voted for the PAEC and the park. So, on what fundamental issue of “change” would she be running? Based on the article, it’s that she wants to hire a city administrator. As if the current mayor hasn’t already been through that exercise. She also suggests that Federal Way is an “island,” and mentions the Chamber of Commerce as part of this dichotomy. Hmmm. I think the chamber is still involved and playing a pivotal role in city affairs. She casually mentions education. But did she offer any ideas? No. I’m just not impressed. Maybe it’s just me.
