Once again, supporters of Jim Ferrell are distorting the facts. Sheryl Nevers in her letter Sept. 15 stated that Skip Priest was on the “Vote No on Prop. 1” board. As the co-chair of that campaign, I can tell you that is a complete fabrication.

During that campaign, “public servant” Priest was busy representing us in the state Legislature while Mr. Ferrell, the “politician,” was busy with his campaign manager trying to advance his political career via this unnecessary and costly mayoral election.

His accomplishments on the City Council are few. His claim to fame is his “status quo” no vote on almost everything. Unlike other council members, his representative participation on other committees makes a very short list. Politicking must take up a lot of his time.

Voters beware of candidates and their supporters who like to distort the facts.
