Please inform the school board, mayor and all others scrambling to deal with providing funding for the educational needs of Federal Way that it is a state constitutional requirement — Article IX — that it’s the state’s “paramount duty to make ample provisions for the education of all children.”

Please inform the school board, mayor and all others scrambling to deal with providing funding for the educational needs of Federal Way that it is a state constitutional requirement — Article IX — that it’s the state’s “paramount duty to make ample provisions for the education of all children.”

The dictionary defines “ample” as “fully sufficient for the purpose or need.” What could be clearer? Send the legislators back to Olympia, on their own nickels, to enact laws for the funding of this constitutional requirement.
