It’s raining chihuahuas | Federal Way letters

I would like to know what is going on. All of the following dogs have been long-legged chihuahuas. A month ago, two were running loose in our Brigadoon-area neighborhood. Two weeks ago, a friend took one home that had been sleeping at Saghalie Middle School, and I caught one by Wal-Mart just prior to it going onto 312th Street. When I called the chihuahua rescue group, they said someone just called about one sleeping at Decatur High School.

Please don’t drop off pets for others to worry about if you don’t want them. Most importantly, spay, neuter and microchip. There are thousands of want-to-be pets killed every year because there aren’t enough homes. If you can’t afford to have them spayed and neutered, contact King or Pierce County Humane Societies or a local pet organization. They all desperately need donations, so please help if you can.

If you have lost or found a pet, list it on Petfinders.com and Craigslist.

Pets are living creatures that depend on us to do the right thing.
