Public memorial for U.S. soldier on Saturday

The Daily News in Longview reports that a public memorial service for Army Specialist Mikayla “Kayla” Bragg will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, at Christian Faith Center, 33645 S. 20th Ave., Federal Way.

More than 1,000 people are expected to attend, according to The Daily News. Bragg, 21, was a resident of Longview who was shot and killed Dec. 20 while on guard duty along Afghanistan’s southeast border.
