City management: Skills that pay the bills | Federal Way letters

Regarding the upcoming mayoral election issue: The choices are hiring an educated, trained, experienced city manager or a politician.

The danger in hiring a politician is we get someone who has a few friends with deep pockets and special interests, but no management skills. Common sense tells me we stay with the city management form of government.
