Victim reports rape by brother-in-law | Federal Way crime blotter

Following is sample from the Federal Way police log:
• Rape: At 10:13 p.m. Dec. 12 in the 3000 block of South 288th Street, it was reported by a victim that he or she was raped in 2003 by a brother-in-law.
• Burglary: At 1:36 p.m. Dec. 12 in the 900 block of Southwest Campus Drive, a victim returned home from vacation to find his or her apartment had been burglarized. A laptop and gaming system were taken.
• Gang graffiti: At 1:41 p.m. Dec. 12 in the 100 block of Southwest 307th Place, suspected gang graffiti was found. The graffiti appears to be placed by a tagging crew and not by actual gang members.
• Counterfeit: At 8:11 p.m. Dec. 11 at 35105 Enchanted Parkway South, four suspects dined at Puerto Vallarta. One paid for the meals with two $50 bills that were later discovered to be counterfeit.
• Child neglect: At 8:19 p.m. Dec. 11 in the 33000 block of Pacific Highway South, a person called police to report possible child neglect.
• Graffiti: At 9:41 a.m. Dec. 10 in the 2600 block of Southwest 350th Street, it was reported that an unknown suspect had spray painted graffiti on the side of a victim’s home. The graffiti was gang related.
• Fraudulent accounts: At 12:11 p.m. Dec. 9 in the 32300 block of 6th Avenue Southwest, it was reported that an unknown suspect used a victim’s Social Security number to open two cell phone accounts. A bill totaling $1,796.26 was accrued.
• Dog bite: At 3:59 p.m. Dec. 9 in the 31400 block of 11th Place South, a victim was bitten on the hand by a neighbor’s escaped dog. When the victim was bitten, he or she fell and injured his or her head.
• Assault: At 7:20 p.m. Dec. 9 at 2501 Gateway Center Plaza, a victim was assaulted by several unknown suspects.
• Stolen gadget: At 8:09 p.m. Dec. 9 at 1701 S. Commons, a victim parked at the mall and returned to her vehicle to find her GPS stolen.
• Vehicle prowl: At 10:15 p.m. Dec. 9 at 2410 S. 312th Street, a vehicle parked at Steel Lake Park was prowled. Items, including a pistol, were stolen from the vehicle.
