Police chiefs around the Puget Sound shared stories of the storied career of Federal Way’s outgoing police Chief Brian Wilson during a recent event at City Hall.

Wilson’s family, including his mother and brother, a police chief himself, reminisced about the longest-serving police chief in Federal Way’s history. A slideshow set to music from the ‘70s chronicled a family man who served his community well.

Wilson joins Mayor Jim Ferrell’s leadership team this week as chief of staff, a position similar to the city manager Wilson served for 18 months before the strong mayor era.
