Breast Diagnostic Center announces contest winners

Breast Diagnostic Center, a breast care center in Auburn and Federal Way, recently announced the winners for the “Our Community. Your Choice.” contest. The Auburn Food Bank received the most votes and is the recipient of a $1,000 donation from Breast Diagnostic Center. “See Ya Later” Washington, runner-up, received $500.
Sponsoring the event, Breast Diagnostic Center’s doctor Mike Ulissey says, “As a business in Auburn and Federal Way, it’s our honor to give back to the people we serve. ‘Our Community. Your Choice.’ is a fun and creative way to show local charities and organizations that we appreciate and support all they do here in South Puget Sound. All participating organizations were highly deserving and we congratulate them. We look forward to doing this again in the near future.”
Auburn Food Bank, a volunteer directed organization that provides food, referrals, and emergency assistance to those in need, received the most votes on BreastDiagnostic’s website poll, and received $1,000 from BDC. Debbie Christian, director at Auburn Food Bank, said that her organization’s members were happy to vote for the Auburn Food Bank as a way to thank them for all the Food Bank has done for them.
The second place organization, “See Ya Later” Washington, a non-profit that encouraged youth by offering a variety of day camps, annual college scholarships and provide support to families who are struggling with a medical crisis, received $500 from BDC.
The contest, which took place from March to April, asked patients and friends to nominate their favorite organization or charity that served the people of South Puget Sound. Six finalists were named and the organization with the most votes received charitable contributions from Breast Diagnostic Center.
BDC Radiology is a full service regional breast care center serving the Auburn, Federal Way, and Tacoma corridors. They specialize in 3D Mammography and breast biopsies.
