Weyerhaeuser joins Dow Jones Sustainability Index

Federal Way-based Weyerhaeuser Co. is the only building materials company named to the Dow Jones Sustainability Index, which tracks North American companies in terms of their economic, environmental and social performance, according to a recent report in the Business Examiner.

The Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes track the market performance of sustainability-driven companies worldwide. The annual review is based on an assessment of corporate economic, environmental and social performance, covering issues such as corporate governance, risk management, branding, climate change mitigation, supply chain standards and labor practices, the report said.
