July 28

• There was one vehicle theft reported and one vehicle was recovered on this day.

• Snapchat meetup leads to theft: At 6:27 a.m., an officer was dispatched to the 2200 block of S Star Lake Rd. where the reporting party said that, after inviting a woman to his home after meeting through Snapchat, he had found that his property was stolen. The reporting party told police that the woman, who was only known by her first name, had suddenly left his house at 3:40 a.m. and that she had stolen his PlayStation 5 and controllers, valued at $600. He told police that he believe her intention from the beginning was to rob him and that she probably would have taken more items if they were not properly stored away. He was advised to cut off all contact with the woman and to alert police if she returned.

• Spray painted car: At 6:40 a.m., an officer was dispatched to the 2500 block of S 286th St. to a malicious mischief case. An unknown person had spray painted the reporting party’s vehicle overnight, sometime between 10:30 p.m. on July 27 and 4 a.m. that morning, which was when a neighbor told her of the damage to her vehicle.

July 29

• There were no vehicle thefts reported and no vehicles were recovered on this day.

• Trespass at Wild Waves: At 1:22 a.m., officers were dispatched to a trespass report at Wild Waves where two subjects were found hiding in the slides and refusing to leave. When officers arrived, the two subjects took off on foot and a short foot pursuit took place. One subject was captured and the reporting party requested to only have them trespassed and not prosecuted. No injuries were reported.

July 30

• There was one vehicle theft reported and no vehicles were recovered on this day.

• Car prowls at Hampton Inn: At 5:21 a.m., an officer responded to the Hampton Inn after a report came in of a vehicle prowl. It was found that, in total, five vehicles had broken windows and that the break-ins took place between 1 a.m. and 5:20 a.m.

July 31

• There were two vehicle thefts reported and no vehicles were recovered on this day.

• Sea Mar requests a trespass: At 8:20 a.m. a report came in of an issue between Sea Mar Community Health and a former client. On June 22, 2026, a client had left a voicemail with Sea Mar, stating that he no longer wanted their services or to be contacted again “or he would kill/see what he can do.” The man’s accounts were then closed the next day. A month later on July 23, the client was wanting a refill of medication from Sea Mar and became upset when he learned that his cases were closed. On July 30, the man was banned from Sea Mar for at least five years, though they offered to give him a 30-day refill. The man was upset and sent a text through MyChart, saying that Sea Mar employees need to be taught a lesson, along with similar threats to kill. Sea Mar has requested that Federal Way Police trespass the man if he returns.

Aug. 1

• There were no vehicle thefts reported and no vehicles were recovered on this day.

• Racial slur on construction sign: At 5:58 a.m. on East Meridian and Military Road South in Milton, Federal Way Police officers witnessed a construction sign that had been tampered with, where the electric sign was changed to say a racial slur. The officers were able to deactivate the sign and called the Milton Police to report the incident.

Aug. 2

• There were two vehicle thefts reported and no vehicles were recovered on this day.

• Costco cameras tell a different story: At 4:53 p.m., police were dispatched to Costco where the reporting party said that he was hit by a vehicle in the parking lot of the Costco. Surveillance footage revealed that a shopping cart being guided by the reporting party had struck the side of a vehicle. The video did not show the reporting party being struck by the vehicle.
