Barbara Marie Ogden Tight

It is with deep sadness that the family of Barbara Marie Ogden Tight announces her peaceful passing on June 8, 2026, at Swedish Hospital in Issaquah, Washington, surrounded by her two beloved daughters, Tobi and Susie.
Barbara was born on May 8, 1942, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, to Tom and Edith Ogden. She was the cherished sister of Bev McIntyre.
On March 13, 1971, she married the love of her life, Michael Arthur Tight. Together they made their home in Federal Way, Washington, where they raised their daughters, Tobi (Joe) Roni and Susie (Justin) McKibben. In 1990, she welcomed Les Matthews into her family and home as her beloved bonus son. In 2019, she was joyfully reunited with her biological son, Paul Heglmeier.
Nicknamed “BTrack,” Barbara dedicated years of her life to running the Federal Way Elementary Track Program, inspiring thousands of young athletes. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Daniella, Alyssa, Michael, Colton, Ashley, Kaylynn, Kambree, Giorgia, Kelti, Keslie, and Knate. Barbara will be forever remembered for her feisty spirit, fierce loyalty, unwavering faith, and unconditional love.
