June 2
• There was one vehicle theft reported and no vehicles were recovered on this day.
• Construction site break in: At approximately 7 a.m. a construction worker at Encore apartments discovered that a rear sliding glass door was open. The building was an active construction site at the time and a lock was found to be damaged, but no items were reported missing.
• Staring contest: Officers were called to a dispute between neighbors at approximately 11:35 a.m. because one neighbor was sitting inside his own garage staring across the street in the direction of the reporting party’s house. The reporting party was yelling at his neighbor and when officers arrived he began yelling at them and refused to answer any questions. Police found no probable cause for any crime.
June 3
• There were no vehicle thefts reported and one vehicle was recovered on this day.
• Wheels stolen: Two wheels and tires off the driver’s side were reported stolen off of a silver 2018 Toyota Corolla around 4:20 a.m. near the 100 block of S. 331st Pl.
• Residential fire: Officers assisted South King Fire with a response to a residential fire at approximately 9:50 a.m. near the 400 block of S.W. 368th St. No humans were injured but one puppy was pronounced deceased at the scene. An investigation by the King County Sheriff Fire Investigation Unit found no probable cause for any crime.
• Vigilante road rage: At approximately 7:15 p.m. a driver called police to report that another vehicle was following them. The reporting party was driving a black Tesla and the suspect was driving a white Scion. Both drivers were contacted and the following driver was advised that he cannot personally chase down another vehicle for a traffic violation and should instead report it to the police.
June 4
• There were no vehicle thefts reported and no vehicles were recovered on this day.
• Fugitive of Justice: An officer of the FWPD performed an outside agency assist for a suspect with a warrant out of Texas at approximately 9:09 a.m. at a residence near the 30500 block of 7th Ave. S.W.
• Bloody nose: Two groups of juveniles got into a dispute regarding gang affliations at approximately 11:22 p.m. at the Federal Way Transit Center. The two groups exchanged words and one individual was punched in the nose.
June 5
• There was one vehicle theft reported and no vehicles were recovered on this day.
• Vehicle slams cop: When officers attempted to stop an occupied stolen vehicle at approximately 12:42 a.m. near a pawn shop on the 29100 block of Pacific Highway S., the driver rammed a patrol vehicle and then fled the scene.
• No seatbelt: At approximately 3:06 a.m. police conducted a traffic stop on Hoyt Road S.W. An occupant in the front seat was found not to be wearing a seatbelt and after they provided identifying information, was found to have a warrant.
• Involuntary committal: A welfare check at approximately 4:41 a.m. ended with a subject being removed to a medical facility for treatment after officers observed that he was improperly clothed, unable to control his own body movements and crossed the highway twice in an unsafe manner.
June 6
• There were no vehicle thefts reported and no vehicles were recovered on this day.
• Cat welfare: When a cat owner had to be taken to the hospital, officers stopped by to provide food and water to the animals.
• First date: Officers detained a man at approximately 1 p.m. for a report of a threat, but released him after they found no probable cause. He was grateful and told the officers he was off to catch a bus to Seattle for his first date in 7 years.
June 7
• There was one vehicle theft reported and no vehicles were recovered on this day.
• Fuel pump damaged: A driver attempted to move to another pump while the fuel hose was still attached at a gas station located on the 29600 block of Pacific Highway S. and damaged the pump.
• Dog bite: A man was bitten by his family member’s dog at around 11:45 p.m. near the 33400 block of 16th Pl. S.W.
June 8
• There were no vehicle thefts reported and one vehicle was recovered on this day.
• Assist: At approximately 9:20 a.m. Federal Way police supported Des Moines police with locating a vehicle at the 27900 Pacific Highway S. and two suspects who had just committed an armed robbery.
Narcan rescue: An officer conducted a welfare check on a transient male on a sidewalk around 9 a.m. and administered a total of three Narcans to save the subjects life. He gained consciousness and was transported to St. Francis.
