• There were zero vehicle thefts reported, and one vehicle was recovered on this day.
• Shooting: At 2:05 a.m. in the 34000 block of Ninth Avenue South, officers responded to a report of a patient with a gunshot wound. It was later determined that the shooting took place on Enchanted Parkway South in King County. King County Sheriff’s Office responded and took over the investigation.
• Kitchen counter: At 4:38 p.m. in the 1700 block of South 281st Place, the suspect broke the kitchen counter with a hammer during a verbal dispute with the victim. Unable to locate suspect.
• Rocks thrown at window: At 5:52 p.m. in the 2600 block of South 272nd Street, the victim reported that someone tried to break into her apartment, threw rocks at her windows and sprayed her door with bear spray. The victim refused to cooperate.
April 29
• There were four vehicle thefts reported, and one vehicle was recovered on this day.
• Gun discharged: At 5:13 p.m. in the 33200 block of Pacific Highway South, officers responded to an illegal discharge. Investigation revealed that an attempted vehicle theft had occurred, prompting the victim’s son to discharge a handgun toward the suspect. The suspect was not located.
April 30
• There were two vehicle thefts reported, and two vehicles were recovered on this day.
• $1,800 of items lost: At 8:55 a.m. in the 2400 block of South 273rd Street, officers were dispatched to a theft-from-vehicle report. The victim stated that $1,800 of items were stolen from her vehicle. No surveillance video of suspect info. Case inactive. Leads exhausted.
• $3,500 of tools lost: At 9:10 a.m. in the 1400 block of South 348th Street, a theft from a motor vehicle was reported. The rear window of a camper shell was broken into, and $3,500 worth of tools were stolen. No identification of suspects.
May 1
• There were zero vehicle thefts reported, and zero vehicles were recovered on this day.
• Homicide: At 10:31 a.m. in the 31400 block of 40th Avenue Southwest, officers were dispatched to a shooting with injury. Upon arrival, officers attempted lifesaving efforts and cleared the residence. South King Fire medics arrived on scene and took over lifesaving efforts. The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center, where he succumbed to his wounds and was pronounced dead.
• Fake money during car sale: At 11:46 a.m. in the 33700 block of 21st Avenue Southwest, the reporting party stated that he sold his vehicle at Fred Meyer for $4,500 cash. The vehicle was not registered to the reporting party, and the license plate belonged to a different vehicle. The reporting party stated that he gave the buyer the title, but did not have a contract, and he did not count the money. The reporting party said that he later realized that the money was fake. The reporting party stated that he no longer had the money and threw it away.
• 10-year-old threatens mother with a knife: At 1:42 a.m. in the 32100 block of 46th Place Southwest, officers responded to a call about a 10-year-old threatening his mother with a knife. Prior to police arrival, the mother was able to separate and lock herself in her bedroom. The mother was able to climb out of her bedroom window with the assistance of South King Fire. Due to the son’s age, probable cause was not developed for a crime. The child was transported to St. Francis Hospital at the request of the parents.
• Neighbor stealing things: At 10:17 p.m. on Pacific Highway South, the victim reported that his neighbor’s daughter has been stealing things off his property for some time. Last night, a surveillance camera caught her stealing a wheelbarrow. The victim finally had enough and called to report it.
May 2
• There were zero vehicle thefts reported, and zero vehicles were recovered on this day.
• Trespass: At 12:40 a.m. on 23rd Avenue South, officers responded to someone who was unwanted at a property. Officers arrived and asked the subject to leave. The subject refused to leave, even after being told numerous times that she could be arrested. The subject was then arrested due to her refusal to leave.
• Suspect fatally shoots himself: At 1:05 a.m. at South 348th Street and 16th Avenue South, probable cause was developed to arrest a suspect for domestic violence fourth-degree assault. The suspect was located, a search warrant was executed, and officers were authorized to take the suspect into custody. The suspect suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head and did not survive despite life-saving measures.
• Firearm stolen: At 7:02 p.m. in the 1900 block of South 331st Street, officers responded to a phone report that a man had left his gun in his glovebox, and when he later returned, his car had been rummaged through, and his gun was gone. The case will be for information only, as there is no suspect information.
May 3
• There were zero vehicle thefts reported, and zero vehicles were recovered on this day.
• Three guns stolen: At 3:28 p.m. in the 100 block of South 340th Place, the victim reported that while he was incarcerated, unknown subjects entered his vacant apartment and stole three handguns that he kept in a backpack.
• Burglary in progress arrest: At 8:27 p.m. in the 2400 block of South 315th Lane, officers responded to a report of a burglary in progress. Investigation revealed probable cause for a residential burglary, and a male was placed into custody and taken to King County Jail.
May 4
• There was one vehicle theft reported, and two vehicles were recovered on this day.
• DUI arrest: At 1:53 a.m. on Pacific Highway South, an officer reported that he saw a vehicle run a red light, and after stopping the vehicle, the driver was found to be DUI. The driver was booked into jail.
• Shoplifting: At 12:47 p.m., an adult female suspect was arrested for shoplifting in Kohl’s located at the Commons Mall. She was processed and released pending her court date.
