March 10
There were zero vehicle thefts reported, and one vehicle was recovered on this day.
Officers find bleeding man: At 1:49 a.m. in the 100 block of South 337th Lane, officers responded to a report of a man lying on the ground beneath a staircase, bleeding. Upon arrival, officers found the man on the ground bleeding profusely from a severe laceration on the top of his head. Officers rendered aid to the man. The man was extremely intoxicated and advised that he had fallen down the stairs. No signs of foul play.
Mutual fight: At 7:36 p.m. in the 33300 block of 24th Avenue Southwest, there was a report that two next-door neighbors had been arguing over an ex-boyfriend. On the day of the report, the two neighbors agreed to engage in a mutual fight. One of the neighbors involved falsely reported that a shot had been fired. The other neighbor involved in the fight had obvious minor injuries. Due to the mutual agreement to assault one another, no probable cause was established.
March 11
There were two vehicle thefts reported, and one vehicle was recovered on this day.
Fraud vehicle repairman: At 11:50 a.m. in the 100 block of Southwest 330th Street, a victim called to report a case of fraud. The victim paid someone who advertised themselves via a business card as a mobile vehicle repairman. The victim paid via Cash App to repair a vehicle in which he had a minor collision. A date and a time were agreed for the victim’s vehicle, but the repairman never showed up and blocked the victim. Report number given to the victim to attempt reimbursement through his bank.
Harassment: At 11:30 a.m. in the 100 block of South 331st Place, the reporting party stated that he received threatening text messages from unknown persons asking for money and that if he did not pay, his family would be harmed.
Robbery: At 3:14 p.m. in the 31700 block of Pacific Highway South, officers responded to a report of a strong-arm robbery. The suspect was not located.
Lost firearm: At 8:10 p.m. in the 1800 block of South 316th Street, a man reported that he left his firearm in the restroom of a cafe. The business was closed, and the man said he would return when it reopened to attempt to recover the firearm.
March 12
There were zero vehicle thefts reported, and zero vehicles were recovered on this day.
Abandoned crashed car: At 12:35 a.m. in the 30000 block of Pacific Highway South, officers located a vehicle that appeared to have recently been in a collision. The vehicle was abandoned, and the driver was not on scene. Officers located the driver, and he was arrested for driving under the influence.
Door damaged by juveniles: At 3:35 p.m. in the 32000 block of Sixth Avenue Southwest, the victim stated that two juveniles kicked his door, causing about $500 in damage. The victim said that he does not have any issues with neighbors and does not have any juvenile children. The juveniles did not attempt to make entry. It appeared as though the juveniles were doing a door-knocking prank. The case is inactive.
Ring camera broken: At 4:10 p.m. in the 100 block of Southwest 332nd Place, a woman called to report that she left her apartment to charge her phone because of a power outage, and when she returned, her Ring camera was completely destroyed. Currently, there are no suspects.
March 13
There were zero vehicle thefts reported, and zero vehicles were recovered on this day.
Man slumped over: At 3:32 a.m. in the 30400 block of Military Road South, an officer observed a man slumped over while at a traffic light. The driver was later arrested for DUI.
$800 of ribeye stolen: At 4:54 p.m. in the 1600 block of South 344th Street, an employee reported that a female and a male entered the store and stole $800 of ribeye. A photo of one of the suspects was uploaded. The case is inactive.
March 14
There were zero vehicle thefts reported, and zero vehicles were recovered on this day.
Animal problem: At 4:07 p.m. on 27th Avenue South, there was a report that a dog defecated on private property, and an infraction was issued.
March 15
There were zero vehicle thefts reported, and zero vehicles were recovered on this day.
Person refusing to leave hospital: At 10:54 a.m. on Ninth Avenue South, officers responded to an unruly male who was refusing to leave the hospital. Officers established probable cause for trespass, and the male was arrested and transported to jail.
Assault: At 10:32 p.m. on Pacific Highway South, officers responded to an assault in progress. When officers arrived, the male suspect did not comply with commands and advanced toward them. Less lethal force was used, and the suspect was booked into jail.
March 16
There were zero vehicle thefts reported, and zero vehicles were recovered on this day.
Driving under the influence: At 2:42 a.m. on 28th Avenue South, officers responded to a disabled vehicle blocking the roadway. The vehicle had front-end damage, and the driver appeared to have been drinking. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence. The driver provided a breath sample at the police department and was booked into jail.
Dog reportedly shot: At 10:04 a.m. on Southwest 327th Street, a school resource officer received a report that a person with a firearm was outside the school, and one gunshot was heard. Witness statements indicated that a dog was hit by a vehicle, then shot by the driver of the involved vehicle. The dog was not located, but one shell casing and a trail of blood were located. Video footage showed the driver of the vehicle stopping at a nearby house, and the residents of that house were questioned, but stated no involvement despite the involved vehicle being registered to the home.
Burglary: At 8:29 p.m. on 23rd Place South, officers were dispatched to a residential burglary that occurred sometime in the morning. The reporting party stated that their house was burglarized while they were at work. Officers attempted to locate fingerprints, but were unsuccessful.
