The Federal Way Mirror Female Athlete of the Week of March 6 from Decatur High School is Amyah Johnson (senior), gymnastics.
What is your favorite subject/class in school?
Leadership.

What does it mean to be a good teammate? Why is it important to your success? What is one thing you do to help others around you?
One thing I like to do to support my teammates is let them know I am proud of and impressed by their performance no matter how they feel about it. As well as offer advice. I always support those around me as well as myself because being a good teammate also means to have your stuff together in the interest of the team. I do my best and feel my best when my teammates are feeling good, which is why it’s important to me.
If you could have dinner with anyone (living or from the past), who would it be? Why?
I would have dinner with Jesus, so I could hear firsthand stories.
You’re on a long road trip, you stop at a gas station.You get one drink and one snack. What are you choosing?

Amyah Johnson placed 12th in the Balance Beam at the WIAA 3A State Gymnastics Meet. This was Amyah’s third trip to the State Gymnastics Meet. Amyah is also a two-time placer at the WIAA 3A State Dive Meet. She is looking forward to earning her third Varsity Letter Award in Girls Tennis this Spring. Amyah is a leader on and off the court. She was selected by her peers as the Associated Student Body President for the 2025-26 school year. She has earned a 3.950 cumulative grade point average including five Advanced Placement courses
