Summer fun at Federal Way parks

There are many opportunities to enjoy Federal Way’s parks this summer.

Summer Sounds Concert Series

Summer Sounds Concert Series offers live music at Steel Lake Park (2410 S. 312th St.) throughout July and August. This event is free and held each Wednesday.

• July 12, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

• July 19, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

• July 26, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

• Aug. 2, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Movies in the Park

Movies in the Park are held on Saturdays at Town Square Park in Federal Way (31600 Pete von Reichbauer Way South). The movies are free.

• July 29, from 9 to 11 p.m. Movie: “Ant Man & the Wasp: Quantumania.”

• August 19, from 9 to 11 p.m. Movie: “Lyle, Lyle Crocodile”

Kids Day

Kids Day is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 9. Intended for ages 2 to 12 years old.

Held at Steel Lake Park, kids can enjoy inflatables, live music and entertainment, a playground and food trucks. This is a free event for families.
